​Introduction to Marionettes Course: "From Scraps to Performance" by Marjorie Rehbach and Patricia Namit of Ripples Puppetry (September 2022 - January 2023)

Dear Puppetry Enthusiasts!

• No experience necessary! Your interest and willingness to learn and have fun is enough!
• Marjorie and Patricia are trained in the Waldorf style of puppetry where there is plenty of room for imagination and wonder, the senses are nurtured, and the stories are rich. They have both completed training with Suzanne Down, and continue to attend workshops in various aspects of puppetry arts. Ripples Puppetry has been teaching and performing puppet shows in and around Olympia for over a decade, often joining with OWS faculty to provide shows for festivals and classes at the school. We look forward to sharing and hopefully encouraging others to take up this joyful art!
• We will meet over the course of 12 weeks, from the end of September - mid January. 
• Everyone will make and learn to move a 5 string silk and wool marionette.
• We will then practice and perform with our puppets in a show for the community sometime in January.
• Participants: Up to 12. Adults only.
• Dates and times: We can meet on Friday or Saturday mornings for 2 ½ hours each week, based on what is best for everyone.
• Cost: $420 for the whole course (supplies included) OR pay what you can
